Because every artwork at My Wall Tales is printed fresh to order, our return policy is different from standard retail. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.
1. Policy Overview
We accept returns and issue full refunds or replacements in the following situations:
- The artwork arrived damaged or broken
- You received the wrong item (wrong artwork, wrong size, or wrong frame type)
- The print quality is significantly different from what was shown on the website (colour banding, streaks, or visible defects)
We do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect size selected by the customer, or colour variation due to screen calibration differences.
2. Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return or replacement, the following conditions must be met:
- You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery to report the issue
- You must provide clear photographs of the defect or damage (including the packaging)
- The artwork must be in its original condition — unworn, unhung, and with original packaging retained where possible
- The issue must be due to a manufacturing defect or a shipping/handling error, not customer damage
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Custom canvas prints — personalised artwork made using images supplied by you is non-refundable once production has begun
- Change-of-mind returns — we do not accept returns where you have simply changed your mind about the artwork, size, or frame style
- Incorrect size selection — if you ordered the wrong size, we are unable to offer a return; please review your order carefully before checkout
- Colour perception — minor colour differences due to varying screen displays are expected and not considered defects
- Items damaged by the customer — damage caused after delivery (dropping, scratches, water damage, improper hanging) is not covered
4. Damaged or Defective Items
If your artwork arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, we will replace it at no cost to you. Here is what to do:
- Do not discard the packaging — we need photographs of the box and packing material for courier insurance claims
- Take clear photographs of the damage or defect, including the artwork, the packaging, and any visible damage to the outer box
- Email us at info@mywalltales.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs
- We will review your request within 1–2 business days and arrange a replacement or issue a full refund based on your preference
5. How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return or replacement request:
- Email us at info@mywalltales.com with the subject line “Return Request — [Your Order Number]”
- Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the defect or damage

We aim to acknowledge all return requests within 24 hours on business days.
Do not ship the item back without confirmation from us. Unsolicited returns will not be accepted and we will not be responsible for items returned without prior authorisation.
6. Refund Process
Once your return or refund request is approved:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method (UPI, credit/debit card, or net banking)
- Processing time: 5–7 business days after approval, depending on your bank or payment provider
- You will receive a confirmation email once the refund is initiated
- Razorpay may take an additional 2–5 business days to reflect the refund in your account
If you have not received your refund within 10 business days of approval, please contact your bank first. If the issue persists, write to us at info@mywalltales.com.
7. Exchanges
We currently do not offer direct exchanges (e.g., swapping one size for another). If you need a different size or variant, you would need to:
- Receive a refund for the original order (if eligible)
- Place a new order for the correct size or frame type
If you received a damaged item and would prefer a replacement over a refund, simply mention this in your return request email and we will dispatch a replacement once your claim is verified.
8. Order Cancellations
You may request an order cancellation within 12 hours of placing your order, provided production has not yet started. To cancel, contact us immediately:

If production has already begun, cancellation is not possible. Once an artwork is printed and quality-checked, it is committed for dispatch.
Approved cancellations will receive a full refund to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
